Welcome to the crafty side of my life. Here I'll be musing about projects I'm working on, and the creative process around them. Oh, and there will be occasional bouts of cooking, photography, and poetry, too.

D&D dice D20 choker
This post is just me bragging about my daughter Michelle. See the necklace I'm wearing there in the picture? She's been making these 'Gamer Girl' chokers, and I swapped her one for some of my hand spun yarn. It is made of Diet Coke pop tabs and one of my D20 dice. The die is caged in elastic, and can be popped out to use if I roll a critical hit in our role playing campaign. The design is her original one.
She's got a more elaborate version too, that has an entire set of D&D dice hanging from it.
Yes, my daughter is awesome.
Wow you have been busy, love the choker :)
ReplyDeleteOMg is there any way i can get one?
ReplyDeleteKaitlyn, are you looking for the one dice version, or the whole set? My daughter is off at college now, but I'm pretty sure I can get her to make a one-dice choker fairly quickly, if you can tell me what color you're looking for.
ReplyDeleteI would love to buy one for my wife. Your daughter could make a etsy.com account and make money. The pieces are very elegant.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback! My daughter is still tinkering with the design on these. After wearing her full set choker for awhile, she found that the dice were popping out of their cage when she didn't want them to. Once she gets a design she is happy with, she may make them for sale. But right now she is up to her eyeballs in college.
